Genesius Theatre presents: Moliere: Tartuffe
An organ, a wealthy French citizen, whose home is instigated by a seemingly deeply religious guest, Tartuffe. The house is placed under the full influence of the mansion, and his mother, they look upon it with respect and worship. However, the rest of the family is far from being alarmed by Orgon's new friend, they soon see through Tartuffe's schemes, but they cannot convince Organ and his mother that he is a fraud. Tartuffe highlights the tyrannical rule of the hypocrites, which abuses the faith, credulity, and leadership of others. Today, too, it is topical, because the portrayal of an attitude that is reprehensible today. (Or should it be) But who is the real tyrant? Organ, who takes it for granted that all his family members must do and think what he says and think? Tartuffe brings this out of him or is he in the Organ without him? Or Tartuffe, who is the incarnate hypocrite, who, hiding behind sincere religion and positive moral values, is doing acts that are of personal benefit?
